What is EndNote?

EndNote Desktop is a software application that helps you collect, store, organise, and use your references when writing your assessments.

Allows you to

  • Manage your references
  • Add in-text citations in Word documents automatically
  • Add reference list entries in Word documents automatically
  • Reference correctly using the APA 7th style
  • Sync and set up an EndNote Online account (your EndNote Desktop Library can be accessed anywhere)

What you need to know

  • William Angliss is currently using EndNote Desktop 20.
  • When using EndNote Desktop, some features and functionality can differ between a Windows or MAC PC. Instructions for Windows and MAC users are in this guide.

  • It is beneficial to have some knowledge of APA 7th referencing conventions.

Where can I find EndNote 20 on campus?

EndNote software is pre-installed on computers in both Melbourne and Sydney campuses.
