EndNote 21 Desktop (Windows) & Web

What is EndNote?

EndNote Desktop is a software application that helps you collect, store, organise, and automatically use your references when writing  assessments.

Allows you to

  • Manage your references
  • Add in-text citations in Word documents automatically
  • Add reference list entries in Word documents automatically

The Cite While You Write (CWYW) feature enables the automatic insert of in-text citations and reference lists in Word documents while you are writing your assessments.

  • Reference correctly using the APA 7th style
  • Sync and set up an EndNote Web account (your EndNote Desktop Library can be accessed anywhere)

What's good to know

  • The latest version of EndNote is 21. If you are using an earlier version of EndNote, you can update it; however, it is not required. Navigate to the EndNote 20 guide to learn more about version 20. The functionality of version 20 and 21 are similar, however, version 21 has some new features.

To learn more about the new features of EndNote 21, navigate to this link.
